THE ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE
The Environmental Committee is concerned with the aesthetics of the Town. Members of the "EC" volunteer to work with the Town Commissioners and the Department of Public Works to help beautify the Town by arranging for the planting of trees and shrubs in the Town Parkway by planting flowers in the boxes by Town Hall and by generally assisting with landscaping projects. The EC also organizes a "beach clean-up" twice a year and works on other environmental-quality of life issues such as having the Town install an "eco" safe prescription drug disposal unit in the Police Station for all residents to use. The EC typically meets once a month at Town Hall and new members are always welcome.
